Abdominoplasty
is a procedure to reshape the tummy. Typically it involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen, and tightening the underlying abdominal muscles when these have been weakened or spread during pregnancy.

Example 1: This 45 yr old woman presented with significant weakness of the abdominal muscles and skin laxity following several pregnancies. Abdominoplasty including Liposuction was undertaken.
Pre-operative Post-operative

Example 2: This woman presented with regional adiposity and was treated with Abdominoplasty and Liposuction
Pre-operative Post-operative

Further information about abdominoplasty can be found at the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
